Back from Italy!!

So, I haven't made a post on this blog for over a month cause I was off travelling and doing art away from computor boxes. I spent 3 weeks of this time in a small Eco village called Torri Superiori in Italy, where I took a visionary art techniques intensive with epic artists like Amanda Sage, Andrew Gonzalez, Maura Holden, Laurence Caruana, etc. In between learning the ancient Misch technique, I also got to give a quick "visionary graffiti" workshop, which was a first but wont be the last!
After that I kept on cruising with my dear wife Valerie (celebrating our 2nd year anniversary) to epic Florence and Geneve in Switzerland. The world is full of great art and natural beauty, and Im always happy to see that. Anyways, here's a couple of pics but if you want to see more you can go to my Facebook. A lil video about it will also be in the works.

New Blotter Art Available!

In my recent trip to LA I got to meet Ken Kasey's son Zane. He still drives the famous "Further" bus that Ken and his band of Merry Pranksters used to cross the states in 1964 doing acid everywhere. It was also featured in Tom Wolfe's famous book "The Electric Kool-Aid Test". Zane now sells blotter art on the back of this historical bus, which now include some of my own pieces in that mix. You can buy them off him at west coast festivals, or from his website: http://www.key-z.com/special.html .

New Creation Webapage

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have recently assumed teh position of Brand Manager of Creation Skateboards, from California. This means pretty much that I decide what the general style of the brand should be. This is right up my alley, since I have been doing graphics for them since 2004. Now I get a bigger chance to step up their game to the next level of evolution!!

Anyways, the first step was to revamp teh webpage and that was launched today. Still many changes to be done, but we got a solid dent into it. Please support this brand, that pushes recycled wood and conscious graphics, so we can grow and keep expanding!!

Slideshow Speech in Hawaii Video

A week ago I was on the big island of Hawaii, for Alchemeyez Visionary Art Congress. Happening in the grand Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel, I gave a one hour slideshow speech, that was definitely not long enough, but still enjoyed by the public. It was about my artistic journey, and done in a freestyle stand up comedy style as to entertain while teaching. A BIG THANX to David Hedriana for filming this and to Ben Jackson for editing into one smooth piece! Enjoy.

Big Visionary art show in Hawaii!!

This summer I wont have the chance to travel so much (as I am getting married in July). But I will be going all the way to the big island of Hawaii to make it to a big Visionary Art Festival called ALCHEMEYEZ. This will go down from June 10 to 13 and I will be there showing some original pieces, doing live art and selling my stuff in the arts market. The event has some of the biggest names in Visioanry art and music, so it should be pretty epic, not to mention the unique location. Hope to see you there!! http://alchemeyez.com/Alchemeyez_Home.html

To be Published with Schiffer Books!!

This last week I got a call from Peter Schiffer, who is the Publisher of Schiffer books. They put out awesome books, like the Jim Phillips (artist for Santa Cruz skateboards) book I am enjoying in this photo.
I was uber-stoked to hear from him that Jim Phillips himself had recomended the book I have been working on for a year, and that he wants to publish it!! This is huge as my 250 color page art book will be widely distributed worldwide next year. A dream come true. i will let ya know when it's out!!
