This 18th to 26th of August is the yearly Boom Festival in Portugal. This is pretty much Europe's version of Burning Man and it's Huge. My Spiritual Wedding

A week ago I got married to the Love of my Life. Though this news isn't business oriented, I chose to mention it in my blog because it is something important for my life, and in a way it was an art expression in itself.

New Tech Deck Toy

Cruising through Ebay recently I spotted new Tech Deck toys with skate graphics on them. Here is a pic of one of them. I'm sure they are out there in Wallmarts n such, but I just bought some straight from Ebay to save me the hunting time. Let me know if you'd like to buy one off me (20$ each).

Drawgasmic

This coming Saturday July 10th is the opening art show and book launch of Drawgasmic, which I am part of.
Happening at Art Dimensions Gallery on 2720 Cherokee Street, in Saint Louis, Missuri, in the USA, from 7pm at 1am.
Should be a good show with over 1000 international artists and a sick book with it all, cant wait to see it.

Alchemeyez show in Hawaii

I just got back from the Big Island of Hawaii where I spent a very magical week. Other than the beautiful weather and Nature of this volcanic island in middle of the sea, I also delved much into art. On my first full day there I had a lil solo event at Oasis Skateshop where I signed boards, black-books and then did some live art, a trippy fish with spray paint.

Late rthat week I joined over 20 of the best Visionary artists at a nature retreat centre, for Alchemeyez, a Visionary art congress, basically a festival where we the artists flown there where teh focus. It was epic. The art by everyone (including Roberto Venosa, Martina Hoffman, Alex Grey, Carey Thompson, Luke Brown, Xavi, etc.) was great and all of us did live painting together at one point. I also took a painting workshop with the Venosas and heard speeches by many of my favorite artists. There was much more enjoyed, but I will let the images do the speaking. Bombes Sur Le Main

Yesterday I participated in a surprise "Urban Intervention" in the intersection of downtown Montreal's busiest Avenues (Saint Laurent and Saint Catherine). There are all these porn/streeptease shops that got closed down in that block and will be demolished at the end of summer. So Under Pressure hired me along a bunch of the best graffiti artists of Montreal (including other crews of mine like La Paria and EnMasse) to beautify this area.

So I painted up a shut down store front with a big spiritual Godface. Peeps seemed to like it as I even got interviewed for the 6pm news on CBC.

Oasis Skateshop Show in Hawaii

This Tuesday 8th of June at 8pm I will be at Oasis Skateshop in Hilo, on the Big island of Hawaii (794 Kilauea Av). For a few hours I will be doing some Live art and signing some of my boards, prints and books. So if your in that remote location come and say hi!!

KnowledgeBorn07 is an excellent musician from South Bend, IN. He jsut put out his new LP called Cosmic Knowledge and includes 11 songs by himself and collaborations with greats as Popa Wu, Ras Attitude, Prince Po, etc. And yeah, it has my art on the cover.

New Canvas

So I just spent 31 straight days at my desk painting my latest canvas for my upcoming group show in Hawaii. It is called "The Apotheosis of Duality" and in a nutshell it is the journey of a human into assention. Hope you like it!!

Qee group exhibition in Lincoln

This coming May 7th I will be participating in a group show of painted "Qees" (vynil plastic toys from Hong Kong). This will be happening in Marz martini Bar, in1140 O street in Lincoln, NE. I don't know which state NE is but sounds nice. Enjoy!!

Big Visionary art show in Hawaii!!

This summer I wont have the chance to travel so much (as I am getting married in July). But I will be going all the way to the big island of Hawaii to make it to a big Visionary Art Festival called ALCHEMEYEZ. This will go down from June 10 to 13 and I will be there showing some original pieces, doing live art and selling my stuff in the arts market. The event has some of the biggest names in Visioanry art and music, so it should be pretty epic, not to mention the unique location. To be Published with Schiffer Books!!

This last week I got a call from Peter Schiffer, who is the Publisher of Schiffer books. They put out awesome books, like the Jim Phillips (artist for Santa Cruz skateboards) book I am enjoying in this photo.
I was uber-stoked to hear from him that Jim Phillips himself had recomended the book I have been working on for a year, and that he wants to publish it!! This is huge as my 250 color page art book will be widely distributed worldwide next year. A dream come true. i will let ya know when it's out!!

New board for Series Kates n ad in Expose mag

This coming 28th of April will be the official Launch of my newest skate graphic for Series skateboards, an arts focused brand from Montreal. The party will happen at Salon Officiel (351 Roy est.) after 10. The new Expose Mag will also be released there, and you will find a new Positive Creations advertisement in it's pages.

Skin the Bottle Series

Skin the Bottle is a company from San Francisco that produces metal bottles (that unlike plastic ones are non toxic) that have bright colors and artwork on them. They recently gave me a 6 bottle series on their webpage where you can order these puppies online.

A Good day for Art

Today I had a good day. Ive been in Gent, Belgium for like a week now and find myself by my own in a cozy lil hotel room, where I've been painting, eating fries with mayo and painting a vynil "Qee" toy for fun.So I finished that piece today and dropped it off at a local street art store called "City Kings" so its displayed for these next 2 months here.

I then went out to practice my spray paint skills in a graffitty alley they have here. I was pretty happy with what came out. I am starting to be less crappy at it, so I wanna do more.

Then, as I walked back home I randomly went into this huge beautifull church and enjoyed seeing lots of awesome old school art. But the best was bumping into a 15th century masterpiece by Van Eyck. "Lamb of God" is a giant triptich set of paintings that blew my mind, crazy detailed and realistic and spiritual. A really humbling experience to be in it's precence, especially so unexpected...

After talking to my girl on the phone n having dinner with my aunt at a vegetarian restaurant here, I came back to this hotel to find that a new Tech Dech toy skateboard with my art just came out. So I am stoked. Nothing like reaching kids through the heart of the mainstream!

Expo at Sub Swara show

Trailer of Positive Creations, The Movie

This here is the trailer for the upcoming documentary called Positive Creations about my art and positive creators in general. New Expose Mag works

This week the new Expose Skate Mag came out. I just started working for them making the artist Profiles and the first artist I interviewed was my friend Labrona. Sk8 Face interview

This afternoon I got interviewed for an amazing documentary about skateboard Art called Sk8 Face. Since the produce live sin Venice Beach, California we did it over skype with my local film crew (Pablo Pictures). Im so stoked cause I will be talking alongside skate giants like Gonz, Steve Olson, Lance Mountain, Tony Hawk, Tommy Guerrero, etc. and artists like Jim Phillips(Santa Cruz), VC Johnson(Powell Peralta), Shepard Fairey, Andy Howell, Wes Humpston and many more. Movie is coming out next spring. I'm so stocked!!

I attended an Alex Grey Exhibition in Toronto last spring and was interviewed by this web tv show "Art Star". I'm only in it for 2 seconds talking about nothing (thank you editors..) but it's always nice to be in a video with Alex.

En Masse at Pop Festival

Today Sunday Oct 4 is the opening of a new En Masse collaboration giant drawing. This time I was part of only 6 artists(of the 30 in the gang) who made fun black n white drawings with 12 teenagers from underprivilaged high schools. It was fun, I love playing and creating with kids. Oh yeah, this is part of the Pop festival, so I feel very cool now.
