Divining the Dream Book and show

Yesterday I received in the mail my copy of Divining the Dream, a book coming out of Paris, France, that features a worldwide selection of Visionary art. I have a page in there so I'm pretty stoked.

New Creation Catalog!!

This week, Creation Skateboards released it's new Spring 2013 Catalog, filled with yummy new skates for ya to shred on. This coming Friday 1st of February, there's gonna be a sick Sk8 Art Show of the Montreal scene at Green Light Gallery. Last night I had a short interview in a Pod Cast show from Las Vegas called "Dave against the Machine". I was sorta caught off off guard, but over all I think it was a fun talk. Happy 2013!!

Happy new Year 2013!! The infamous winter solstice came and ent and we didnt have neither a hollywood apocalypse nor a new age ascension  I was hoping for some degree of change to put humanity on a better direction, but just stoked to continue the blessings of my own reality, with its own ups and downs. Anyways, lets hope that the shift is actually in process, subtle and gentle and that we are in transition to the promised Golden age.
I've been chilling out on my blog posts, but Im back here in action for ya. Hopefully Im not talking to myself!!

Hanging with the Greys in COSM blog

In winter 2008 I went down to Manhattan to meet visionary master painter Alex Grey, who I am a big fan of. I got my obligatory photo with him. After a couple more encounters (and photos) at Burning Man, Toronto and Hawaii, he finally started to remember me and my art. Always a pleasure and honor.
Now last month I saw him and his wife Allyson in Australia and it was them who asked me to get a photo with me!! What?!! They just posted it on their blog on th Eclipse festival we participated at. I am super stoked. Also stoked that I will be hosting an "Art Church" at their new COSM land in upstate New York, August 4th 2013. Infinitus group show opening today

Today!!! Is the grand opening of this awesome group show at Infinitus Gallery in the northern Australia rain-forest village of Kuranda. I will be there at night and during the day I will be at the old market painting a mural for Compound Skate shop. So stop by n say hi!!

Australia Tour

So, It seems like Australia is a go!! Stoked to cross the world an meet my ozzy family. Other than live painting/exhibiting at the week long Eclipse Festival I already posted about here, I will be participating in a few other awesome events!

Just as I arrive, Sunday November 4th I will go straight to Entheogaia Festival, to live paint on the last day of that event. Sounds nice. For more details of that festival, go HERE.

Hellahigh Solo Exhibition

Though I've had some pretty solid solo shows in the last few years, it's been in places like Peru, Belgium, California, Mexico, etc. Last week I was asked if I wanted to do one at the Green Light Gallery in The Plateau of Montreal and I agreed. Since a big portion of my art is stored in California, I am forced to show some new stuff, along skateboard prints and I will also have some cheap original drawings for sale, so its a good chance to scoop an original for cheap!

Eclipse Festival Australia

 

This coming November (10 to 16th) is Eclipse festival in north east Australia. My art will be shown there and I am scheduled to be there in person doing my thing too. I am now waiting for a grand from the Canada Council of the Arts and if it comes through I can afford my flight ticket and join artists like Alex Grey, Martina Hoffman, Luke Brown, Amanda Sage, etc. Should be a pretty epic event so i hope it all works out well and I can go and meet personally my Australia friends. The end of Fresh Paint Gallery

Tonight is the final event at the community Street Art Gallery Fresh Paint in downtown Montreal. This was a place many artist used a a platform to do and show their work to our city. For this Elise Luong, the original curator has been flown from Europe to attend. There will be a fun art battle and I also have a couple of my paintings on the wall. See you there!!

Chuck Treece X Positive Creations

A Positive Creations suporter in Philadelphia just sent me a picture of Chuck Treece and one of my prints. Chuck used to be a pro Skateboarder in the 80's fro brands like Santa Cruz and Powell Peralta and is also a well respected base player that has done things with Bad Brains, Pearl Jam, Tommy Guerrero, Sting, Billy Joel, etc. Stoked he is into my art too!

New Creation Catalog!!!

For the last few months I have been working super hard putting together the new catalog of Creation Skateboards, for the Fall 2012-Winter 2013 season. Check it HERE.
Though I only have 2 new graphics of my own art, I curated the art of many friends (like Peru, Entes-Pesimo, Sego, Android Jones, Randal Roberts, Adi, Bobby Brown, etc.) and laid it down as board graphics. I also managed to hunt down the legendary traveling pro skater Kenny Reed to be part of our team, which will show the world that Creation is not only still alive, but growing. I thank you for your support and if you want any of this niceness for your feet or wall, please ask your local skate shop to hook it up for you! Skate shops will only order if they see a demand from the streets, so it's in your hands.
