Cuba Skate Fundraiser
Last year my bro, Peru 143, organized a fundraiser where he collected a bunch of skate equipment n took it to poor skaters in Cuba that have difficulties getting that stuff.
This yeah our mutual friend Betty Esperanza is going back to Cuba and taking the leftovers of that collection. Because of this she got an article in the Gazette (Montreal's main newspaper) talking about this charity. Unfortunately they names me as the main man behind the collect!! I donated a bunch of wheels, but it was Peru who deserves the props. ANyways, you can check the article here: http://blogs.montrealgazette.com/2011/12/22/havana-bound-mtl-photographer-giving-skateboards-to-cuban-kids-this-holiday-season/ .

Last Year's Moksha Art Fair video
This is a video from last year's Moksha Art Fair, during Miami Art Basel. You can see some of my art behind Alex Grey who speaks so eloquently as per usual, and later also Allyson Grey and Mark Henson. At the end they even mention my name as the one who is doing the Moksha Symbol Painting. So yes, I will be there in a weeks time to unveil the painting, give a slideshow speech, participate in a forum and launch my book. Other than that I will also be at Scope Art Fair and Primal Flight, doing some mural works with my street art crew of Montreal, En Masse. Should be pretty great. Anyways, enjoy the video!

Book Launch at Miami Art Basel!!
Early this December I will be flown down to Miami to be part of the Moksha Visionary Art Fair. This coincides with the dates that my big coffee table art book is released by Schiffer Publishing. So Moksha hooked me up with a pimp launch at The Filmore, also known as the Jackie Gleason Theatre, which is the biggest music venue in Miami Beach, in middle of the Art Basel Action, and a historical building where so many tv shows, theatre and concerts have gone doen since the 50's!!
Anyways, I wil be there on Friday December 2nd, from 4 to 6pm, selling and signing my new books to those who come. There will be a satellite visionary art show happening around me too. Should be really special, so come if you're in that area!!

Sensorium Australia
I just got asked to join an Australian project called Sensorium. I believe their intention is to go to a bunch of Australian festivals and put this crazy dome where the visionary art of different artists will be playing. Sounds trippy to me. Here's my profile on their page. Also, make sure to pitch into their fundraiser if you're feeling the vibes. http://sensorium.net.au/ar

En Masse in Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
Yesterday was the opening of the Big Bang contemporary art exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. En Masse was part of that show, so I now got art in a Museum, in the same show as Riopelle, crazy. I only did one piece during the En Masse jam, but it was a 10 foot tall destruction monster that took me 3 days to paint in Acrylics. Im pretty happy how it came out and about this whole giant room. For more pics of the show, check out this: http://www.safewalls.org/news/photos-en-masse-x-mbam/?utm_medium=socialmedia&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=share . Enjoy.

Skatebot #3 for Cease It group Show
This Friday was the big Opening party of "Cease It 2" a Installations group show that included popular Montreal Art organizations like Under Pressure, En Masse, Massivart, Paprimase and Decover. I was invited to be part of it cause I had my first Skate robot available for it. But then the building we where storing it in got condemned, so that piece is locked in and will probably still be in there when the building is demolished.... Because of this, my partner in that project Yannik Malek built me a 3rd Skate bot will the last of my broken deck stash and I quickly painted it up this past Thursday afternoon, along my new intern assistant James Farrell.
Anyways, Cease it will be open for at least a month at "Fresh Paint Gallery" (180 Saint Catherine East, Montreal). Here some amazing pictures by Adida Fallen Angel of the Skatebot production day and the opening the following night: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150908342875381.760836.691325380&type=1 .
My art in Big O report on the mainstream news
A couple of days ago Canada's main TV channel, CBC, had a report on their news show about Montreal's classic skate spot, The Big O (I am local from). In this report you can see lots of my good friend Barry Walsh talking infront of one of my spray paint pieces and also my new Big O Sanctuary graphic. I hope things go well with the transportation!!

Big O Sanctuary Graphic
I originally did this Big O Sanctuary graphic for my good friend and legendary pro skater Barry Walsh. he was riding for Skull Skates at the time, and PD was supposed to use it, but he took so long that Barry just quit their team. Years passed and now the graphic was used by Halifax's Homegrown Skateboards (http://www.hgskate.ca/). They hand carved and silk-screened a limited edition of 36 boards with this image! Came out great. Then at the same time, EMCB MTL, a small brand from Montreal used the images for some wheels.
Both where launched a couple of weeks ago during a party. Here you can see a video of the launch with me lurking around and some of my art on the walls.
Concret Wave Magazine apperences
I just got the summer 2011 edition of Concrete Wave (longboarding) Magazine. I was happy to see a few appearances of my art like a flyer with a commissioned painting for them, a review on my DVD and the Peta collabo board I made for the Vans Warped Tour. More spiritual skate art for them in the works!!

New Creation Webapage
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have recently assumed teh position of Brand Manager of Creation Skateboards, from California. This means pretty much that I decide what the general style of the brand should be. This is right up my alley, since I have been doing graphics for them since 2004. Now I get a bigger chance to step up their game to the next level of evolution!!
Anyways, the first step was to revamp teh webpage and that was launched today. Still many changes to be done, but we got a solid dent into it. Please support this brand, that pushes recycled wood and conscious graphics, so we can grow and keep expanding!!
