Workshop at COSM

I am stoked to announce that Alex Grey's COSM invited me to come back for a couple of weeks this early September. In that time I will be teaching a 2 day skateboard graphics Workshop there.

REALIZE zine

This week, the new issue, #8, of Realize (art n skate) Zine from Cali, just came out. I have the cover and am stoked, along an 8 page interview. I also interviewed Kenny Reed n Labrona. Lots of fun content. The photocopy version is circulating skate shops but you can already check it online here.

New Creation Catalog!!

This week, Creation Skateboards released it's new Spring 2013 Catalog, filled with yummy new skates for ya to shred on. This is the 3rd catalog that I've curated and art directed and I'm pretty stoked how they are turning out. Hope you too and that you'll get some of this niceness soon. I am stoked that I can finally share the trailer for the Creation Skateboards video I have been directing the past few months. As you can see it will be lot sof fun, with a solid skate team, good art n animations and quality music (like Frank Zappa here). New Creation Catalog!!!

For the last few months I have been working super hard putting together the new catalog of Creation Skateboards, for the Fall 2012-Winter 2013 season. Check it HERE.
Though I only have 2 new graphics of my own art, I curated the art of many friends (like Peru, Entes-Pesimo, Sego, Android Jones, Randal Roberts, Adi, Bobby Brown, etc.) and laid it down as board graphics. I also managed to hunt down the legendary traveling pro skater Kenny Reed to be part of our team, which will show the world that Creation is not only still alive, but growing. I thank you for your support and if you want any of this niceness for your feet or wall, please ask your local skate shop to hook it up for you! Skate shops will only order if they see a demand from the streets, so it's in your hands.

Creation Board Launch in Montreal

Yesterday, my friend Barry Walsh and me threw another one of our series of event here in Montreal. Sorry I forgot to post it here before, but you probably saw it on Facbook.

Anyways, it was a great bash where lots of local art n skate heads came together for good vibes, music, drinx, art n danxin.
Underworld let us do it at their new bar. Barry n Alex Forbes (Vans Canada) spun vinyl classics. Peru and Other (in Montreal for 1 night only) joined me to exhibit original art on the wall, along some of the new boards of the Creation catalogs.

It was a great time and I'll post more pics on my Facebook soon.

New Creation Skateboards Catalog

For the last three months I have been Brand manager for Creation Skateboards, and in that time I have tried to make this brand my own, at least stylistically. This week I was finally able to show some of the fruits of my labour by releasing the new Spring/Summer 2012 Catalog. Other than using all sustainable material like recycled wood, bamboo and hemp I got art from some of the best visionary and street artists like Luke Brown, Mear One, Bue, Other, Carey Thompson, Xavi, Mark Henson, Amanda Sage, etc.

I also recruited my good friend Barry Walsh to be Creation's newest Pro, which was hard to keep a secret all this time! In these months I've been building the media to launch this news with a big bang, and it has been. Yesterday Satori Movement / Creation Skateboards dropped a lil video covering a day on my California tour. It starts with some shots of my sketchy skating in San Francisco, followed by me doing a quick spray paint piece at the DIY spot "Pink Taco", then a chill interview, finished by shots of my art at teh Old Crow Gallery in Oakland. New Satori Wheels for Argentinian Pro

I just did a new Wheel design for Satori Movement. The pro skater it gives props to is Mariano Gonzalez, who is a legendary rasta skater in Argentina. Awesome to spread the Satori vibes in South American rootsy skate culture!!

Official Documentary Launch

This week is the official launch of my new Documentary DVD. With 1000 copies arriving at my door I gotta move them fast, so please order your copy at www.positivecreationsmovie.com/buy .
